The aesthetics for these sets are a "Plague Doctor"-esque set, Ossuary construct-themed set, a Dracula-esque set, and an Gothic-esque set with over-the-top gold elements. The Necromancer originally had less than four Sets, to leave room for the community to come up with new playstyles and have those added onto new sets. The Necromancer avoids the slapstick humor of the Witch Doctor, as the Necromancer class is not meant to be funny. Necromancers have few Poison spells, and no damage over time attacks, as that is the prerogative of Witch Doctor to compensate, all Necromancer pets are controllable to some degree, unlike those of Witch Doctor. Witch Doctors are more lighthearted, while Necromancers are more dark and grim (using Curses, Blood, and Bone). While Witch Doctors and Necromancers share many similarities, Blizzard has noted a few differences. The player using the Necromancer will see the full effects of skill-use, while players in a party will see a more basic visual display. New technology has been developed for the Necromancer, as it's an effects-heavy class. The Necromancer is playable in both Campaign and Adventure Mode, fully voiced, and has new tomes to flesh out their backstory. New achievements were implemented along with the Necromancer. To use the pack, one needs to have Reaper of Souls installed for PC or have the Ultimate Evil Edition for console. The pack was released on June 27 of 2017, and costs $14.99 USD in North America. The Necromancer is available in the Rise of the Necromancer pack, released at the same time as patch 2.6.0 came out. The Necromancer's core stat is Intelligence. As such, Convention of Elements is especially effective for Necromancers. The three Elemental Damage types are Poison (blight), Physical (blood and bone) and Cold (chill of the grave). In combat, they rely on bone and blood spells, Curses, Golems and undead minions. Also couples well with Bonds of C'Lena and Defiler Cuisses.Necromancers in Diablo III are very similar to the Diablo II class, and retain most of their skills. This set works best with Jesseth Arms, which complement the Skeletons damage, as well as damage of other minions. It takes 18 minions (which is, full Skeletons + Golem + 10 Revived) to get the full effect. Simulacrum only counts if coupled with Haunted Visions. The buff affects the Revived due to first bonus, as well as Skeletons and Golem. The final bonus is multiplicative to other similar effects. The second bonus offers a multiplicative reduction in all damage received, and each hit has a 100% to add a stack and refresh the duration of all stacks, resulting in near permanent 75% protection. However, Mask of Scarlet Death allows raising 10 empowered minions, each composed of up to 10 corpses, even if each only counts as one minion for the purpose of the set bonuses. Trying to raise more will destroy the oldest ones. Note that infinite Revived minions are capped to 10 at a time, making this bonus not as game-breaking as one would suspect. As of patch 2.7.0, it only applies to permanent minions (not to Skeletal Magi), but in return, also makes the Revived minions permanent. The first bonus is independent to Proc Coefficient of the attacks. Each active permanent minion increases the damage of the Army of the Dead and Bone Spirit by 500%, up to 9000% (6 pieces).Gain 1% damage reduction for 15 seconds each time one of the minions deals damage, stacking up to 75 times (4 pieces) Skeletal Warriors spawn faster, and Revived minions no longer expire (2 pieces) Permanent Minions reduce the cooldown of Army of the Dead by 0.5 seconds each time they deal damage.The set consists of six pieces, all six of which are required to complete it, and all six are Necromancer-restricted. The set is named after Rathma, is bones-themed visually and focuses on minions. Even transmogrification of these items is only available to Necromancers. It can only drop on Torment difficulty.Īll set pieces are restricted to Necromancers. Bones of Rathma is a Class Set for Necromancers in Diablo III, obtainable at level 70.
